GALLANT OUTRAISES LALOTA ON LONG ISLAND’S FIRST

Army pilot’s haul tops two-term incumbent as NY-1 race heads into final stretch

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Chris Gallant outraised two-term Republican Rep. Nick LaLota in the third quarter of their neck-and-neck race in NY’s 1st Congressional District.

Gallant raised roughly $930,000, per FEC reports, while LaLota only managed $610,000. These figures underscore the race’s rapidly changing dynamics, which have grown progressively tighter each week.

Meanwhile, LaLota has gone AWOL. He skips town halls and avoids the voters he purports to represent. He lost the endorsement of Newsday, Long Island’s flagship newspaper, which backed him just two years ago. Gallant, a Black Hawk pilot in the New York Army National Guard, has spent the fall campaigning across the district, talking to voters about soaring grocery prices, spiking health care costs and a failed Washington agenda that LaLota has backed at every step.

“Every dollar in this report came from someone who wants a congressman who shows up, hears them, and does everything in his power to take their government back from corporations and a deeply corrupt administration,” Gallant said. “Nick LaLota stopped showing up a long time ago because he cannot defend his record.”

“Chris is everywhere in this district. LaLota is nowhere,” said campaign manager Jasmine Singh. “Voters see the difference and are telling us, with their small dollar donations, that they believe in this campaign.”

The numbers that will matter in the final weeks of this campaign all belong to LaLota and his cronies in Washington. Tariffs raised prices at every checkout line. Tax cuts went to corporations. The war in Iran has cost taxpayers more than $43 billion and driven up prices to a crisis point. Gallant has served his country and is making the simple argument that the people of NY-01 deserve better.
